An Athamen is a traditional tool for disciples of the Wicca religion. It is normally a double-edged dagger, not necessarily sharpened, for it is seen more of an "antenna" to transport magical forces.
Now I am not a Wiccan, lacking the correct gender;-) and while I can relate to the aspect of natural philosophy, I cannot quite relate to other aspects of the cult. But as I know there are many people out there seeking counsil and spiritual fulfillment-and you need all kinds of people to make a world;-)-I respect anyone who does even try to obstain from doing harm to the world and fellow humans.
But I simply admire the skill shown in that video.
Enjoy!
Those are the adventures of Mr. Fimbulmyrk, in bushcraft and blacksmithing, mountainbiking and hiking, reenactment, writing, singing, dancing, stargazing and having a piece of cake and a coffee. Pray have a seat and look around you, but be warned - the forest´s twilight is ferocious at times.
